What happens during a Forest Bathing session?

Forest Bathing is a guided, sensory experience that supports you to slow down and remember your place within the living world. We are not separate from nature; we are part of it. I offer a series of gentle invitations to help quiet the busy mind and awaken the senses. There's no physical exertion and no distance to cover. We're not identifying species or learning about nature — instead, we're remembering how to be in relationship with the living world and ourselves.

Do sessions go ahead in all weathers?

Sessions run in most weather conditions, as each season and shift in weather offers a different way to experience being outdoors. In cases of high winds, lightning, or severe weather, sessions will be postponed or cancelled for safety.

What should I wear and bring?

Come as you are — an open mind is the most important thing. Dress for the weather, with layers, waterproofs and sturdy footwear. Bring something to sit or lie on, drinking water, and any personal medication you may need.

Can I use my phone during the session?

I invite you to switch your phone to silent and keep it tucked away. This is a chance to step out of constant input and gently return to a more natural rhythm.

Is Forest Bathing suitable for everyone?

Yes — Forest Bathing is gentle and accessible, and you don't need any level of fitness or experience. If you have specific needs or concerns, you're very welcome to get in touch before booking.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions typically last around 3 hours, allowing enough time to slow down and settle into a different pace without feeling rushed.

Do I need to talk or share with the group?

Not at all. Sharing is always optional. You're welcome to simply listen or spend the time quietly in your own experience.

Is Forest Bathing the same as a guided walk?

No — this is very different from a typical walk. We move slowly and cover very little distance. The focus is on noticing, sensing, and being present, rather than getting somewhere.

What are the benefits of Forest Bathing?

People often leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and more connected. It can support stress reduction, improve mood and sleep, and help you feel more at ease in yourself.

What if I feel unsure or a bit self-conscious?

That's completely normal. The invitations are always gentle, and there's no pressure to do anything that doesn't feel comfortable. Most people find they naturally settle in quite quickly.
